Paints Applications :
WALOCEL - (MHEC) are used as High-grade rheological additive for variety of paint formulations.

Walocel XM is Methyl Hydroxy Ethyl Cellulose (MHEC), specially modified for ‘Emulsion paints’ application.

Special grades of Walocel XM are available in viscosity range of 20,000 to 100,000 mPas, to meet specific customer requirements.
 

Major advantages of Walocel:

1. Higher Thickening Effect:
Walocel XM provides a 10-20 % higher degree of thickening as compared with similar HEC products. Hence customers will require lesser quantity of thickener for similar thickening effect.

2. Lump Free Dissolving:
Walocel XM dissolves completely and rapidly, avoiding the formation of gel particles. This ensures homogeneous paint films with high gloss.

3. Creamy Working Application:
Compared to HEC, paints containing Walocel XM have creamy application with clean separation from brush.

4. Better Spatter Resistance:
Emulsions containing Walocel XM show better spatter resistance as compared to similar HEC grades
